Lichnice Castle

A trip to the ruin of Lichnice Castle, which towers on the ridge of the Iron Mountains.

To make it less easy, though, the route first heads downhill through the Lovětín gorge, passes below the castle, and then you have to climb back up again.

The reward is a tour of the extensive ruin, whose tower is open as a lookout.

On the way back to the car, try not to miss the turn-off to the Dívčí kámen viewpoint, which rises above the gorge.

💡Tip: Visit this place around Christmas. A local enthusiast right at the start of the route has his garden beautifully decorated with lights and is happy to show it off.
