Ahornbahn

The airy Ahornbahn cable car takes you up above the small town of Mayrhofen. The car park is right next to it, and once you have used the cable car the parking fee is considerably cheaper.

Kids will especially enjoy the water fun at the playground by Lake Ahornsee. At the other one, the FalknerOase, there are birds of prey shows.

A trip here works even in worse weather, because the top station has a great play room run by Ravensburger, the company that makes all sorts of games and puzzles. Even the dads will keep themselves busy for a while with the marble run construction set.

If you want a longer hike, you can head for the Edelhütte, for example.
