Rosenalm - Fichtenwelt

At the Rosenalm top station you will find the Fichtenschloss children’s park. This playground is five stars. They seem to have thought of everything here. What makes this playground exceptional is that they thought of the parents too. The seating is covered with canvas to provide shade. At 11 the barbecue is lit. If you have not brought anything to put on it, do not despair. Next to it there is a vending machine where you can buy something to grill. Besides food, also things like plates.

The playground is themed as a castle, and there is a whole story to go with it, which you receive as a little book after completing a short trail and stamping letters into the corresponding boxes on a map that you can get, for example, at the top station of the cable car. The trail starts at the entrance gate, the second checkpoint is at the playground, the third further along the route, which continues left through the forest and down to Lake Fichtensee. You can swim in the lake, but the water is pretty cold. The kids will still enjoy building dams out of pebbles, for instance. The route is also suitable for pushchairs.

Besides a huge sandpit where kids search for buried artefacts, the playground also has water features, a marble run, climbing frames, a water maze and much more.
